Africa Press-Nigeria:

– The crisis in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is getting messier by the day
– The party is still struggling to sustain a united front ahead of the Edo governorship election
– Neighbouring Ondo state might face similar challenges if the ruling party officials do not get their acts right

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may not field a candidate in Ondo state.

Documents made available to journalists indicate that the party notified INEC that it has fixed Monday, July 20 for its primary election in the state and invited the electoral commission to monitor the exercise.

However, the letter dated Wednesday, June 17 was only signed by the acting national secretary of the party, Architect Waziri Bulama.
